What Went Down at Space Tech Expo 2024?
From November 19–21, 2024, Verkotan had the pleasure of exhibiting at Space Tech Expo Europe, hosted at Messe Bremen in Germany. The event brought together over 8,000 attendees, 700+ exhibitors, and 150+ speakers, making it Europe’s largest B2B space event. It was the perfect place for anyone passionate about space technology and eager to explore its future.
This year’s event focused on creating connections and showcasing innovations in the international space industry. Many visitors came to meet exhibitors, discover new products, and network with potential partners. It was a great opportunity to be part of the conversation shaping the space sector across Europe and beyond.
Verkotan at the Space Tech Expo 2024: Showcasing Our Expertise
At the recent Space Tech Expo, Verkotan, led by CEO Kari Komonen and Product Manager Ilkka Rahikainen, showcased its ISO17025-accredited testing services designed for the latest radio and electrical device developers. Our expert team highlighted our capabilities in EMC, SAR, and OTA compliance testing, engaging with industry leaders and innovators to share our approach to accelerating product development.
A key highlight of our exhibit was the demonstration of our cutting-edge antenna testing, including 2D and 3D pattern measurements up to 53 GHz. From consumer devices to satellite systems, including those for the space industry, our custom-built test systems provide the precision and reliability required for critical applications in both commercial and space sectors.

A Program Full of Inspiration and Ideas
Space Tech Expo wasn’t just about the exhibitors—it also featured 183 expert speakers who shared valuable insights through panels, keynotes, and presentations.
Key Highlights:
- Industry Conference: Discussed important topics like space law, supply chain challenges, and peaceful uses of outer space.
- Smallsats Conference: Focused on small satellite production, climate monitoring with satellites, and new technologies in the smallsat field.
- Connectivity Conference: Looked at SATCOM advancements, direct-to-device communication, and improving network operations.
Attendees could use the B2B Matchmaking Tool to easily connect with potential partners, while the Conference Cocktail Mixer made it fun and simple to mix and match sessions from over 40 panels, creating a personalized agenda.
Unique Features of the Expo
Space Tech Expo 2024 included a range of activities that added to the overall experience. Visitors could try the Virtual Reality Space Flight for a sense of space travel, explore innovations at the Photonics Planetarium, and stop by the Space Photo Wall to take pictures and enter to win event merchandise.
These additional features provided a different perspective on space technology and made the event more memorable for attendees.
Meeting Outer Space Visitors at Space Tech Expo!
The best part of Space Tech Expo was meeting people in real life—not just making online connections but building real human connections. These days, so many interactions are online, so we’re always grateful for the chance to meet our potential clients face-to-face.
With its space theme, the event featured Star Wars characters like Grogu and Stormtroopers. Space Tech Expo did a great job bringing together visitors with lots of space knowledge to make it a truly special event.
